Addiction Recovery Centre Reaching Out.

The Addiction Recovery Centre is a charitable organisation based in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. Formed in 2002 we address the gap in services for people suffering from addictions.

The cornerstone of the Centres’ projects is to offer a solution to a life threatening condition affecting not only for those in addiction, but their families and the wider community.

Our Mission Statement

To relieve the needs, preserve and protect the health of people in East Dunbartonshire and Central Scotland;
To offer support to all family members including children affected by parents or other family members suffering from addictions;
To encourage individuals recovering from these conditions to reach out and encourage recovery in others.

Long term recovery achieves a decrease in addictions. It is our experience through attending our Centre people in recovery achieve employment, become productive members of the community and often families become reunited.

Incredibly those in recovery go out and encourage those still suffering from active addiction to follow them into recovery.

The Centre has been recognised for the work it does winning several awards over the years, most notable The Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2011 and the Charity Of The Year in 2012.

The management committee consists of 10 individuals with tremendous enthusiasm and a wealth of experience, including skills relevant to the management of the Centre and to the support of those accessing its services.
