Addiction Recovery Centre

OUR ACTIVITIES

ARC offers regular, welcoming drop-in sessions with a recovery meeting open to people affected by all forms of addiction, as well as family members and loved ones who may also need support. These sessions run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, providing a consistent and reliable space for connection, understanding, and recovery.

The centre is open from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, giving you time to arrive, settle in, get a tea or coffee and speak with others in a relaxed environment. Recovery meetings take place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on each of these days and are facilitated in a supportive, non-judgemental way. You are welcome to attend whether you are at the very start of your recovery journey, further along, or simply seeking information and reassurance.

In addition to our in-person support, ARC operates a 24/7 confidential phone helpline for anyone who needs to talk at any time of day or night.

If you or someone you care about is struggling, you can contact us on 0141 776 3887. There is always someone available to listen, offer guidance, and help you feel less alone.

Our centre is a warm, friendly, and safe space where anonymity is always respected.

We understand how difficult it can be to reach out, and you will never be judged. Everyone involved has personal experience of addiction and recovery, so you will be met with empathy, respect, and genuine understanding.

You do not have to face this alone - support is here whenever you are ready.

WILD CAMPING

The Addiction Recovery Centre is delighted to announce our upcoming Wild Camping Experience, a meaningful outdoor retreat created especially for individuals on their recovery journey. This experience is designed to offer more than just a night under the stars – it’s an opportunity to step into nature, build confidence, strengthen connections, and discover new parts of yourself in a safe and supportive environment.

WHY WILD CAMPING?

Nature has a remarkable way of grounding us. Away from the pressures of daily life, the wilderness gives space for clarity, calm, and reflection. This experience encourages participants to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the world around them — and with themselves.

Wild Camping

What the Experience Includes

Participants can look forward to a blend of practical outdoor skills, group activities, and quiet personal moments. The experience may include:

  • Setting up camp and learning basic outdoor skills
  • Guided walks through natural landscapes
  • Mindfulness and grounding exercises to help you stay present
  • Campfire conversations that encourage openness, trust, and shared understanding
  • Team-building activities that strengthen confidence and connection
  • Time for personal reflection, journaling, or simply enjoying the peace of the outdoors

Everything is delivered by our experienced team, who are there to support you every step of the way.

A Supportive Community

Recovery can feel isolating at times, but shared experiences like this remind us that we’re never alone. The Wild Camping Experience brings people together in a relaxed, natural setting where friendships can grow and support feels effortless. Whether you’re stepping out of your comfort zone or already love the outdoors, you’ll be surrounded by people who understand the journey you’re on.

What You’ll Take Away

Many participants tell us that time in nature helps them feel:

  • More grounded and centred
  • Reconnected with their strengths
  • Energised and hopeful
  • More confident in facing challenges
  • Closer to others in the recovery community

Our goal is for you to return home feeling refreshed, inspired, and proud of what you’ve achieved.

How to Get Involved

If you’re interested in joining us or would like more information, please contact the Addiction Recovery Centre. Spaces may be limited, so early interest is encouraged.

We can’t wait to share this experience with you — a chance to breathe deeply, step into the wild, and discover just how far you’ve come.
